Rishikesh

Rishikesh is a town located in the northern state of Uttarakhand, India, at the foothills of the Himalayas along the banks of the Ganges River. The Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the closest airport.

Spiritual Significance

Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula

Laxman Jhula: A suspension bridge across the Ganges River named after Lord Laxman, a character in the Hindu epic Ramayana.

Ram Jhula: Another suspension bridge located a few kilometers downstream.
