Manali


Manali is a popular hill station and tourist destination in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Nestled in the Kullu Valley, it is situated at an altitude of about 2,050 meters (6,726 feet) above sea level. Manali is well-connected by road from major cities in North India. The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport, approximately 50 kilometers from Manali, while the nearest railway station is in Joginder Nagar.

Geography

Manali is located on the banks of the Beas River and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and dense pine forests. The region offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

- Rohtang Pass:  A high mountain pass that connects Manali to the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys. It is a popular destination for snow activities and provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

  - Solang Valley: Known for its picturesque landscapes and adventure activities such as paragliding, skiing, and zorbing.

   - Hadimba Devi Temple:  A unique temple dedicated to Hidimba Devi, built in a traditional pagoda style with intricately carved wooden architecture.

   - Manu Temple: Dedicated to Sage Manu, believed to be the creator of human race according to Hindu mythology.
