This Department of Anaesthesia looks after the surgical anaesthesia, pain management in non-surgical & surgical patients, intensive care & pre anaesthesia check-up & evaluation of our patients. Our Anaesthetists are well equipped to care for a tiny newborn as well as elderly patients requiring surgery. The team of anaesthetists oversee work of 4 modular OT's.
They hold pre anaesthesia clinics, post anaesthesia care unit and manage our 5 bedded Surgical ICU.
The Anesthesia department works in collaboration with other departments like Minimal Access, Bariatric & General Surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Oncology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and Internal Medicine. This department provides safe and exclusive perioperative care and guidance to all the patients including pediatric and geriatic undergoing any kind of surgery.
Primary goal of the anesthesia team is to make patients comfortable and free from pain in order to perform the medical procedures or the surgery.
Painless labour is another field where anaesthetist facility is available round the clock. With the administration of epidural anaesthesia; mothers in labour are spared the pains of a normal delivery and this is the most commonly used method for painless labour during childbirth.
