Diagnosis And Consultation

Diagnostic Evaluation:

The pivotal first step in addressing infertility issues is a precise and comprehensive diagnosis of both male and female factors contributing to infertility. At Mother’s Lap IVF, our state-of-the-art infrastructure ensures you receive the exacting diagnosis you need, complemented by round-the-clock assistance at every stage of your journey. The diagnostic process typically unfolds as follows:

Assessment of Ovulation:
A complex interplay of hormones is essential for the maturation of eggs and their readiness for fertilization. Hormonal imbalances can potentially affect egg quality. This assessment involves monitoring basal body temperature charts, employing urinary testing kits, conducting ultrasounds, and measuring progesterone hormone levels.

Should these initial assessments yield inconclusive results, a blood sample is taken to measure FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone), estrogen, and AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) levels. Elevated FSH levels often signify reduced ovarian reserve.

Semen Analysis:
This test examines the quality and quantity of semen and sperm in males. It assesses factors such as the semen's consistency, volume, sperm motility (movement), sperm count, and sperm morphology (structure). It helps identify whether the issue lies in sperm production or sperm quality, both of which can contribute to infertility.

Fallopian Tube Patency Assessment:

In some cases, the fallopian tube, responsible for facilitating the passage of eggs to sperm, may be obstructed. Our clinic prioritizes the comfort of our female patients during ultrasound examinations to determine the status of the fallopian tubes. This assessment is critical because fertilization cannot occur if the fallopian tube is blocked or damaged.

Evaluation of Uterine Health:
Deteriorating uterine health is a significant factor in infertility. We conduct a thorough assessment of the uterus to ensure there are no risks of miscarriage and to optimize embryo implantation. This is of paramount importance for the healthy growth and successful delivery of a baby.

Consultation:
Consulting with Mother’s Lap IVF is not only straightforward but also a comfortable and reassuring experience. Our infertility specialist will initiate the initial investigation and review your medical history. If necessary, a pelvic ultrasound may be performed. The results will reveal the male and female infertility components of your situation. Subsequently, you will have a detailed treatment plan discussion with Dr. Shobha Gupta, who will guide you toward the most effective and cost-efficient treatment. This brings you one step closer to realizing your dream of parenthood.
