Working as a faculty in the department, I was exposed to not only assisting cases but also received both independent and guided surgical training. I was a dependable member of the surgical Unit, involved in ICU, Emergency, ward and OPD care of patients and played a role in supervising and teaching MCH residents.
I also looked after the teaching program for perfusionist (BPMT – Perfusion Technology), staff nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians and general surgery residents. Administrative duties of the department including the Social Insurance Scheme ( RGJAY – Rajeev Gandhi Jeevan Arogya Yojana) were supervised by me. I also played a role in digitalisation of the department and setting up of vascular work station for training purpose.

Chasnali Primary Health Centre (PHC) is a primary care centre situated at a rural interiors of taluka Kopargaon, district Ahmednagar, Maharashtra India. The PHC was catering for around 48,000 populations with 8 sub centres. It was a 24X7 PHC with facilities of inpatient, outpatient, delivery, emergency functional operation theatre and executing all the National Health Programs of Government of India and Government of Maharashtra.
During this period my work included the following:
1. Morning and Evening OPD basis treatment of patient with medical, surgical, gynaecological and skin or any other complaint.
2. Indoor management and referral of serious patients.
3. Handling various gynaecologic, surgical, medical emergencies and trauma. Conducting deliveries and episiotomy suturing, assisting in tubal ligation, CLW suturing, managing road traffic accidents, OPP poisoning, snake and animal bites.
4. Running the National Health Programmes like RNTCP, Vector Borne Disease Program and administering treatment and maintaining records.
5. Health inspection and water and food testing.
6. Administration of the PHC in management of staff, stocks, funds & recourses, statistics and reports.
7. Conducting lectures for nursing staff on various emergencies and National Programs.
